Lolita Closet - Shoes 1

Oh my Oh my!  Such pretty things...

I always told myself that I would never be a "shoe person" but I just love boots-- and lolita shoes are so ruddy cute!  I can't help myself :/  I need more! <3

This is the first installation of my shoe closet.  There will be various different types of shoes posted from sandals to boots to heels just so that I can later keep this as up to date as possible.

Bodyline: Sac Heels

I bought these heels back in 2009 when they only cost me $30.  Since then Bodyline has raised their prices.  Not bad compared to brand lolita shoe prices but still a little high for my liking.
I bought these shoes to be my fancy shoes to go with my first Alice and the Pirates dress.  Since they were both in the Sac Blue colour I thought that they would be perfect.  I love to wear them with it and have worn them on many occasions to many different events, when I have to look fancy.

Harajuku Mini: 2010 Christmas Shoes

These shoes match some of the prints that they put on when the line was first released back in the end of 2010.  I love the dress and am happy to have been able to fit into these matching shoes. They are flat and made of cloth with zippers down the side, they are very well made and comfy.

Guess: Red Ruffle Flats

I got this when I went to a friend's wedding in Iowa.  They are Guess shoes that I got for about $20.  I love them so much!  I want to wear them everyday but I don't want to ruin them by wearing them to work...

Converse: Green and Black

I had wanted Converse for a long time and really wanted green ones.  When I finally could get a pair there didn't seem to be any green or coloured ones around... then I found these.  I love the black!  I love to wear these with all the things!

Nana/ Rocking Horse Shoes

I shopped around and found the best price that I could online to get these shoes.  I've had them for about three or so years now and I do very much love them.  They have held up and that makes me happy.
The soles are made of a thick foam that makes them super comfy.

More Shoes to come in later posts!  Still got my AatP boots to show off! ~,<

Winter 2013 Angelic Pretty Lucky Packs + Opening

Angelic Pretty Lucky packs are know to be few and far between, however, they are my most favorite brand so it only stands to reason that I'd want to own one.  I've passed up the Lucky Packs in the past because it would be released on working days but this year the San Fran store had it on a Saturday.
These packs are an AMAZING deal that are very hard to pass up.  PLUS this time round it was a bunny print and I go crazy for bunnehs!

Onto what LPs were available!

Internet Sale

This event was a complete bust.  It took place on January 1st at noon and everything was gone in less then 60 seconds.  I had four people helping me camp the website to buy my LP.  One of my friends got the dress that I wanted in their cart when everything went gone.  There had to be the use of scripts for them to go so fast.  I like the fact that they make these specials available to other Lolitas that are not local and can not go to the store, however, it was ridiculous how fast they went.

LP Store Sale

Having not been able to get a Lucky Pack through the Internet sale, I opted for my second option, going to the store early on the 5th.  Living only an hour away it was an option that I couldn't really pass up this time round.  With a bunny print at stake I just HAD to.
My darling boyfriend and I went early to San Fran to sit out in front of the store and wait for their opening.  Dressing in many layers we waited for hours for the opening and sale.  I attempted to sew ponies while I waited and talked to my boyfriend about various lolita styles and brands while looking at the newest Gothic Lolita Bible Mook.
After losing some of the feeling in my feet and hands it was finally time to go inside and pick!  We were the second group in line and had the pick of the litter.
Shop Girl: "Which one were you wanting?"
Me: "The Pink JSK?"
Shop Girl: "That one is already taken."
Me: "The Blue JSK?"
Shop Girl: "Here it is"
Me: "Squeeeee!"
The credit card machine was down in the shop so most of us had to wait for it to charge up.  I was able to look around in the shop and oogle all of the pretty prints and dress designs and show them off to my wonderful boyfriend who had never been to the Angelic Pretty Store before.
I just out of the store with my LP in hand, jumping up and down, a grin from ear to ear and squeeing like a fool.  I opened my LP and looked inside and all the pretty things!
I absolutely adore the print on the dress and am so very pleased with it.  It is slightly mind blowing to think that there are so few of these dresses out there, especially in the USA. But, onto what, if your looking at this, you probably wanted to see in the first place.  The opening of the Lucky Pack and all that is inside it.

Lolita Closet - Bodyline

Updated: 12-4-12

The pieces in my Bodyline Closet are as Follows:

I did not know of this brand until I stumbled upon the store in Harajuku.  I was looking for a normal lolita store when I looked up and saw a "sale" sign and some cute cosplay in the window.  I thought, why not just go and look in there. BAM. I was amazed... I went to Japan expecting to buy one dress with my budget but I came back with a wardrobe of dresses!  My favorite thing about them was not only their price but the lovely sizing they had.  Before, I didn't want to buy lolita online because I was not sure how they would fit me, or even if they would, but after seeing them in person I was excited.

On a side note, Bodyline has really gone up in price since I first found out about them.  I am less likely to buy something from them and save a little more to get some brand on sale.  They are a wonderful starting brand and I love the pieces I have in my collection, however, I do not really buy from them any longer.  (Though I may if they put out some shoes I've been waiting for them to make...)

White Shirt
I was very pleased, seeing this in person, as to its quality per price.  It was only about $11 and I've worn it oh so many times and it is still in one piece.

Bought this on my trip to Japan.
Black Shirt
This black shirt is made out of jersey and oh so soft and nice to wear.  The only down side to it is the long long LONG ribbons that clench it in.  I guess I could just take them off and not worry about it since I usually wear it under JSKs but I'm a bit lazy so I don't..

Bought this on my trip to Japan.
Gold and Red
I really do love this concept and piece.  It is a skirt and waist clencher that is fully sheared in the back.  I own two out of the three colours they had it available in.  They only reason why I don't have the other is because it was sold out.
It makes a good Steampunk piece to add to my Steamy wardrobe and I wouldn't be without it.

Deconstructed Skirt
It is a super cute colour in person and its a stretchy waist-band.  I do not wear it as much as I should or probably could.

Alice Skirt (black/pink)
I bought this one because I loved the print and didn't want to spend an arm and a leg to get an Alice print that was brand.  I worn this a dozen of times and really enjoy it.  Its not the highest of quality but it is better then any American cheep brand could or would do.  I am proud of have this as one of the pieces in my closet.

Gingham Bunny Skirt (pink)
I love bunnies and NEEDED to get this for myself.  I got this one year for my birthday and it is adorable.  Thick and well made.  I have not, however, worn it that much.  But, I have worn it to Knotts Berry Farm to go on roller coasters and see Snoopy.

Three Bears Poka-dot JSK (red)
It's super cute and I wore it to Disneyland.  They had a problem with me wearing my Mini Mouse ears with the dress-- to matchy--  But it is super cute and I took some really cute pictures in it when I went.

Alice Print JSK (sac/pink)
Oh how I love this dress-- I have a friend who also owns this dress and she is often known as "my twin."  We haven't worn this dress together yet but I hope we can soon.  I also got this dress for one of my besties so she could triplet with us.  I'm sure it will make her happy when she gets this.  Its more sweet then what she usually wears and her husband will laugh and shake his head, but I know she'll like it.  I'm just slowly turning her more and more into the cute side of me.  <3  Everyone needs more pink and bunnies in her life anyway.

Blue Striped strapless JSK
I like to think of this as my little cute sailor dress without the collar.  I wear it with a shirt underneath or just strapless as more a casual look.  I am a sucker when it comes to anything nautical themed or looking so this was a must for me.

Poka-dot JSK (sac)
I have worn this many times and it is sweet and simple.  I planed on getting the darker one but messed up in my order.  I am, however, very pleased with the dress even though I have other sac dresses.

I have worn this to a baby shower and other times I've had to dress "down" or more "normal" to events.  Its still super cute and I love the bows on it as well as the high waist cut.

Plaid AP Replica
This is a replica to an Angelic Pretty dress.  The pockets are small but working and the dress is made out of thinish material.  The material isn't cheep, it just is nice in the summer to have something light.
It was only about $15 when I bought it at the store in Harajuku and was super excited to have something this cute to take home with me.  It was not until later that I found out that it was a replica piece.
I wore this into the BtSSB SF store once and took it off to wear the new brand dress I bought home.  The shop girls were looking at the dress commenting on how well made it was for being Bodyline and actually how impressed they were about it.

I bought this on my trip to Japan.

Sac Bow and Button OP
I bought this from Bodyline when they had a "buy one get one free" sale.  That sale was amazing and I hope that someday they do it again.  I'd love to get more shoes or even buy matching dresses for friends as presents for various holidays.
I got this dress and another exactly like it for a friend of mine so we could twin.  It was remarked then how it was very hard to tell us apart and the only reason her husband knew it was her, at a little distance, was because of the headband she was wearing.

More Bodyline items to be posted later!

Lolita Closet - Alice and the Pirate

The following are the AatP pieces that I own in my collection.

I tend to feel myself more on the side of fluffy Sweet Lolita but I really like the darker qualities of Alice and the Pirates.  A lot of them make perfect additions to any cute Steampunk outfit and I've worn a few of them to those types of events.

Gathered Chiffon JSK

This was the first AatP dress that I bought.  I got it at the opening of the BtSSB store in San Fransisco.  As I stood in line various people told me how it was their dream dress but I held onto it tightly.  I had fallen in love with it too and love it just as much to this day.  It is the fanciest lolita dress that I own and I won't part with it.

a/p Circus Print JSK
I loved the print on this one.  The little monkeys and the elephants and Alice balancing on a ball.  It's super fancy and I love to wear it.
On many occasions I have worn this dress on special occasions to steampunk events.
The only downside to this dress is that when I first was wearing it my arm would hurt like hell.  I wondered why and then I found out what was wrong.  The top is a bodice with plastic boning and one of the bones was protruding it's little super sharp tip out of one of the seams.  It was not fun...  I cut then filed down the bone so it was not so sharp-- cut myself on it a few times before I actually found it but happily did not get any blood on my dress.

AatP - Original Tartan Check Vest and Half-Pants
I bought these two matching pieces when they were on sale at the SF store.  I tried them on when they first came out and was giddy it was ridiculous.   I glowed, but at that time I got a different dress.  I didn't have any "boy style" items and wanted to stick with dresses.  I was glad that I did get the dress that time because it let me get it on sale.

Wig Review - L-email

This is a review on wigs from www.wig-supplier.com

The basics:

The bag that they came in
This is a brand that comes out of China.

Price:  Their prices are very very cheap.  I do not question about it too much because it is so very nice to be able to buy new pretty wigs and build up my collection even more.  This last time I bought wigs from them (for black friday/ holiday) they were having a 10% off sale on all their already cheaply priced wigs.

I heard you liked bags so this one was in the other
Shipping time: Their shipping is pretty fast, I bought my wigs on November 26th and received them on December 10th.

Shipping Price:  The price for shipping was almost the price of all the wigs put together... but then again, the shipping price alone was less then the price of a normal nice wig from another wig supplier.

The Meat:

This is the second time I have gotten wigs from this store in china and I love the quality that they come in.  The fibers are very soft and fine.  They are just as goo a quality as the fancy wigs that you can get from GothicLolita Wigs and at actual wig stores.
Unsure if you can style with them but its best just to say away from products that need heat anyway.

CB28
The first wig I pulled out was CB28, my Twilight Sparkle wig.  I love the settle gradients of purple and super bright pink to make a very pretty Twilight Wig.
I got this wig because I thought it would be a good addition to my lolita wearing collection as well as a future MLP Twilight Sparkle cosplay.  I'm slowly making dresses and costumes for all the ponies, not just Pinkie Pie.

RW148
This is the second wig that I will be talking about, RW148 (T2127).  I bought this one to be a Pinkie Pie (from My Little Ponies: Friendship is Magic) wig as well as a nice lolita wig or just crazy casual wig.  It is a wig that can be all the crazy things and still look oh so good.
The actual colour is like a milky dark pink.  Some brands call it a milkshake pink.  It looks a little more magenta in pictures but in person it is a bit darker.
The curls are messy and look really nice and the length is long.
**See back pictures at bottom of blog post)

C60018

I've been wanting a wig like C60018 (27DH33/30) for a very very long time now.  Ever since I saw this split combination it has made me happy.  I kind of needed a curly-ish more normal looking wig that I could add to my collection.
The  clips are very full and do add quite a bit to the wig.
**See bottom pictures for a look of the back and without clips)

RW137
This bright purple wig is RW137 (T2411).  It is a base long wig with pigtail falls.  It is curly and I love it!  I bought it for use in Rairty Cosplays (from My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic).  I'm currently in the process of designing and sewing a period dress based on the character and when I'm not trying to be "period" I can wear the purple hair and be more Pony then Person.

CB24
This wig made me happy.  I've always wanted a fluffy dandelion styled wig and this was cute too.  It is CB24 (TF2513/1001+1911/1001).
This is a picture directly out of the bag and I'm sure that when I'm going to wear it, it will fluff out nicely but until then I'll be keeping it a bit more tame.
The first thing that I noticed about this piece was that it was so very very soft.  A little thin on the base wig but very soft and nice.
